Mike

Mike is a familiar face in the local music scene, with his interest in guitar tech beginning back in high school after building his own bass. That early curiosity quickly grew into helping mates repair and upgrade their instruments.

He later spent several years working as a machinist for a cabinetmaker, developing a strong understanding of systems, precision, and mechanics - skills that translate directly into getting the best performance out of every instrument he works on.

Mike went on to gain hands-on luthier experience at Ormsby Guitars, where he deepened his knowledge of guitar construction and refined his approach to detailed setups and fine-tuning.

Now part of the team at Profret, Mike is proud to be among a passionate community of dedicated metal enthusiasts. He has a particular interest in bass guitars, unique builds, and tackling out-of-the-box jobs that need a bit of extra care and attention.
